a little more about me,
I’m Priya, the founder of Earthen Living and an Ayurveda Diet and Lifestyle Guide. My journey with Ayurveda began long before I even knew it as such. Growing up in India, the rituals of Ayurveda were woven into the fabric of my everyday life—body oiling on Sundays, hair oiling every other day, and using herbal shampoos like Shikakai were simply a part of our routine. At the time, they were just rituals we followed, not something I fully appreciated, especially during my late teens and early twenties when I explored new products and practices with curiosity.
It wasn’t until I moved to London that I truly began to understand the depth and value of these early practices. Leaving behind a fulfilling entrepreneurial career, the warmth of family, and the comfort of familiar routines was a significant shift. In the midst of the change, I found myself craving the simplicity and grounding I once took for granted. Slowly, I started to return to the practices of my childhood—first through food, then through daily rituals—and I felt a profound reconnection to my roots.
My exploration led me to delve deeper into the philosophy of Ayurveda,Yoga and the beautiful art of Ayurvastra. This journey back to my origins helped me realize that the simpler, more mindful way of living I grew up with held the key to a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Ayurveda has been a part of my family for five generations. My forefather began our journey with Ayurveda in 1913, crafting the first tooth powder and cycling from the small temple town of Nanjangud to the now Yoga city of Mysore to sell it everyday. Over the years, these humble beginnings evolved into a a much bigger profession of creating authentic Ayurvedic products. This legacy, along with my personal rediscovery of Ayurveda, inspired me to create Earthen Living, where I combine the wisdom of the past with the needs of today.
Through my personal journey I have come to understand that health is not just about the body—it is about the alignment of mind, body, and soul. It has the transformative power to help you achieve more, with less, and in a more creative way.By incorporating Ayurvedic practices the right way , I believe it is easier to unlock your full potential, enhancing energy, focus and emotional well-being, at any age or stage of your life.

Through Earthen Living, I hope to share the simple, sustainable practices that have brought balance and strength into my life, and help others find their own path to wellness, one small step at a time.
I offer personalized sessions to address specific concerns and conduct group workshops to help demystify
Ayurveda, helping you understand yourself in a way that could be different from earlier.

On a more personal note, I live in London with my husband and our young son, who has been my little tester and taster since birth. When he bolts from the bitters, I know I need to refine and adapt. I understand the challenge of having a basket of natural remedies ready, especially for a young family, and still not knowing how to make them work.
As someone who also deeply cares about ageing parents, I am encouraged to be more proactive and preventative about my health today. The young and the elderly always have invaluable lessons to offer.

Simplicity is key, and this is what I focus on- helping you integrate easy, effective practices into your daily life, fostering lasting wellness and harmony.
